The Sterile Unit is a service function that serves approximately 300 customers, including operating departments within intensive and perioperative care, all nursing wards in the Lund hospital area, as well as health centers and clinics in the surrounding area. We work to clean, inspect, functionally test, package, and sterilize medical technical products. Our customers include operating departments, clinics, nursing wards, health centers, research departments, municipalities, and private actors. Our goals are high competence, quality awareness, flexibility, and good service.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We now want to strengthen our team with a steril technician or nursing assistant!

Your work will consist of sterilization tasks such as cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing surgical instruments. The work is independent and characterized by personal responsibility, while you always have the support of your colleagues.

For those interested, there is an opportunity to specialize within the role and for example, join our technical group that is more focused on mechanical work. There is also the possibility to manage your own work areas. We offer you a thorough introduction of ten weeks, which gives you the opportunity to feel secure in the role.

The position involves day and evening shifts.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained steril technician (YH 300p) or a trained nursing assistant who meets the Socialstyrelsen's requirements for protected professional title, regardless of whether you have studied according to previous or current program structure. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form. Previous experience working with sterilization techniques or in operating departments is an advantage. We would also like you to have experience working in endoscopy and/or experience with T-Doc.

It is important that you are service-oriented and enjoy teamwork. You are an experienced computer user with a technical interest and a willingness to learn. We value that you are meticulous, responsible, and used to working independently. Of course, you work according to Region Skåne's values. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
